Founded in 1949 by C. Forest Bookman, Forest Manufacturing Company, originally located in the flats of Cleveland, moved to Twinsburg twelve years after the company's inception. Primarily created to fabricate lampshades, Forest Manufacturing expanded its production capabilities to incorporate pennant strings, banners, flags and other display items.

In 1975, Forest Manufacturing acquired a small local screen-printing firm that had initially been contracted to print for its growing line of promotional product offerings. The company operated with a one-arm squeegee, hand tables and a conveyor dryer. Purchased shortly thereafter, a 54" x 120"

semi-automatic press expanded the company's growth within the screen-printing industry.

Throughout the 1970s and 1980s, Forest Manufacturing grew its operations. In December of 1976 the company moved into their current location; a 145,000 square foot facility with screen printing, fabrication, sheeting, finishing, packing and shipping. In 1983, Forest acquired American Screen Process, which added manufacturing capabilities and increased the sales force and customer base. In 1990, to accommodate growth, the Twinsburg facility expanded from 54,000 to a 145,000 square foot facility. This provided adequate space for the 12 press lines and multiple production departments of today.

In October of 1998, the demand for large scale offset printing projects steadily increased and Forest Manufacturing acquired the assets of Central Lithograph, a 65,000 square foot offset printing facility on the west side of Cleveland. Forest Corporation's digital printing department was developed to complement the screen and lithography print technologies. The digital facility is also located in Twinsburg.
